TappStudio (“TappStudio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes Kadak: Idle Chai Empire (the “Game”), a free idle game for Android and iOS in which you grow a roadside chai stall into a chain of outlets. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Game collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
Kadak has no accounts, no sign-in and no game server of our own. Your progress lives on your device. We have designed the Game to collect as little as possible.
By using the Game you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
Your game progress (stalls, upgrades, currencies, settings, tutorial progress, timers and a random install ID) is saved in files on your device. This stays on your device unless you turn on cloud save (Section 4.4). Uninstalling the Game deletes it, unless a cloud save exists.
We use PostHog to understand how the Game is played, to find and fix crashes, and to change game settings (such as events, seasons and offers) without a new app release. PostHog may receive:
We do not use your advertising ID, and we do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise location, or messages.
You can turn analytics off in Settings inside the Game. Crash and error reporting that is necessary to keep the Game running may be limited when you do so.
If you buy something, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. Our subscription and purchase provider, RevenueCat, receives a purchase and entitlement record (product, purchase status, transaction identifier and a random app user ID) so we can unlock what you bought and let you restore it on a new device. We do not receive your card number, bank details or billing address.
The Game offers optional rewarded videos, shown only when you tap to watch one. These are served by Google AdMob. To show an ad and to prevent fraud, Google may collect device and ad-related information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and ad interaction data, according to Google’s own policies. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and some other places) we show a consent prompt before ads are requested, and you can change your choice later. We do not run banner or full-screen interstitial ads.
If you choose to use these features, Google Play Games Services or Apple Game Center handles sign-in, your player name, scores, achievements and cloud save under their own privacy policies. We receive the score or achievement you submit and, for cloud save, the save file you upload to your own Google or Apple game storage. These features are optional.
The Game can send local notifications (for example, when a training timer finishes). They are scheduled on your device and do not need an account. We limit them in number and respect quiet hours. You can switch them off in Settings or in your device’s system settings.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and to improve the Game.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles of our own, and we do not sell it.
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the Game, and only what each needs:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Analytics, error tracking, remote configuration, experiments | Anonymous ID, game events, error reports, device and app info |
| RevenueCat | Purchases, subscriptions, restore | Anonymous app user ID, purchase and entitlement status |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Payment and billing | Handled entirely by Apple or Google |
| Google AdMob | Optional rewarded video | Device and ad-related information per Google’s policies |
| Google Play Games Services / Apple Game Center | Leaderboards, achievements, cloud save | Player profile, scores and save data you choose to sync |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (in which case we will update this Policy).
These providers run servers in various countries, including outside India. By using the Game you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own, under the safeguards of those providers.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR, including to complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. If you are in India, we handle your personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and you may exercise your rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal by writing to the contact in Section 10. If we do not resolve your grievance, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Kadak is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Game, contact us and we will delete the related data.
If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), please use the Game, and especially any purchase, only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians can disable purchases in the Apple and Google store settings.
Your save file is protected against corruption with a checksum and a backup copy. Data sent to our providers travels over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Policy as the Game changes. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the Game. Using the Game after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
